Dorothy Roos

Mrs. Dorothy A. Roos age 86 of 3243 Hwy. W, Town of Saukville, passed away peacefully at her residence in the evening hours of March 1, 2003. She was born February 26, 1917 in Milwaukee daughter of the late Walter and Viola Wehr Boettcher. On November 12, 1938 she married William Roos in Kenosha. He preceded her in death in 1977. Dorothy was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Fredonia, and also enjoyed gardening, reading, and attending concerts and shows. She is survived by her daughter Renae Roos of Saukville, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 brothers and 1 sister. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday March 4, 2003 3 PM at Wisconsin Memorial Park Chapel of the Flowers, 13235 W. Capitol Drive, Brookfield. Entombment Wisconsin Memorial Park. Visitation at Wisconsin Memorial Park Tuesday March 4 from 2:30PM - 3PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Fredonia.

Eugene Emmer

Eugene Emmer, age 87, of Hickory Drive in Fredonia, died at Mequon Care Center in Mequon Saturday morning, February 8, 2003. Mr. Emmer was born March 13, 1915 in Port Washington, son of Paul and Anna Buser Emmer. On November 25, 1937 he was united in marriage to Vera Krier at St. Mary Catholic Church in Lake Church. Together the helped create and run Emmer Excavating. Vera preceded Gene in death on November 26, 2002. Mr. Emmer was a member of Holy Rosary Parish, St. Rose Chaple, Fredonia, Catholic Order of Foresters Court #479 and the Fredonia Lions Club.
He is survived by 1 brother, Lawrence (Bernice) Emmer of Fredonia, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, 1 brother, George, and 2 sisters, Frances and Cecelia.

Kathleen Bourdo

Kathleen A. Bourdo, age 53, of the Town of Port Washington, died at her residence on January 18, 2003. Kathleen was born April 3, 1949 in Milwaukee, WI, daughter of Vernon and Helen Chabak Bourdo. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, fishing and travel, and was known by family and friends as an artist as well. She is survived by her sons Lee (Christine) Walter of Fredionia and Craig (Mary) Walter of Hubertus, her father Vernon (Beverly) Bourdo of Homosassa, FL, grandchildren Kelcey Klumb of Jackson and Samuel Walter of Fredonia, and sisters Eileen (Richard) Raduenz of South Milwaukee and Darlene (Bob) Blume of South Milwaukee. She is further survived by special freind Mike Kultgen of Port Washington, nieces, nephews, other realtives and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother Helen Chabak and 1 brother Vernon (Linda) Bourdo.

Patricia I. Schimke "Trish"

Mrs. Patricia Schimke “Trish” age 66 years of Port Washington, passed away December 22, 2002 at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital Ozaukee Campus in Mequon. She was born in Richland Center, WI October 11, 1936, daughter of the late Raymond and Eulalia Flannery Keegan. On August 12, 1961 she married Keith Schimke in Richland Center. Trish taught in area schools, most recently in the Sheboygan School District retiring in 1999. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Friends of the Library, Interfaith Caregivers, Meals On Wheels, NEA, WEA and the Sheboygan Education Association. Her hobbies included reading, traveling, going to movies, cooking and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband Keith of Port Washington, 5 children; Laurie (Jay) Killinger of West Bend, Susan Schimke (Tim Newcomer) of Redding, CA, Beth (Sean) Rusch of Richfield, Mike (Jackie) Schimke of Sun Prairie, and Tom (Dawn) Schimke of Port Washington, 10 grandchildren; Micaela, Elise, TJ, Eli, Megan, Sam, Emily, Katie, Ben and Nathan, sisters Sally Somers of Villa Park, IL Rita Keegan of Ontario, OR and Maureen (Pat) Coffey of Wauwatosa, 1 brother Roy (Marcia) Keegan of Chico, Ca, and her “special mom” Kathryn Herold of Richland Center. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews, many friends and former students, and other relatives. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday December 28, 2002 12:00 PM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church Port Washington with Father Allan Sommer officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s cemetery Port Washington. Friends may call at the Eernisse Funeral Home 1600 W. Grand Ave. Port Washington, Saturday from 9:00-11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials suggested to Heifer International PO Box 8058 Little Rock, AR 72203 or the charity of your choice.

Ellen S. Freitag

Mrs. Ellen Freitag age 75 years of 230 Ulao St. Saukville passed away peacefully Saturday morning at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital, Ozaukee Campus in Mequon. She was born in Port Washington July 25, 1927 daughter of the late Henry and Martha Fedder Bittner. On February 20, 1948 she married Harvey Freitag in Waukegan, IL. Ellen worked as an administrative assistant for Bolens Corp., then Northern Signal, retiring in the early 1970’s. Mrs. Freitag is a member of PWHS Class of 1945, St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Saukville and American Legion Post 470 Ladies Auxiliary. Her hobbies included camping and going on gambling trips with her husband. She was a big fan of stock car racing, and her favorite driver was Rusty Wallace. She is survived by her husband Harvey of Saukville, daughter Betsy (Rick) Ladwig of Grafton and son Bill (Linda) Freitag of Saukville. She is further survived by 3 grandchildren; Jennifer Freitag and Adam and Ryan Ladwig, 1 brother-in-law Robert Tietyen, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by 1 brother Rolf Bittner, and 1 sister Ann Tietyen. A memorial service will be held in her honor Saturday, December 28, 2002 11 AM at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, 166 W. Dekora St. Saukville, with Rev. Donald Ellerman officiating. Burial will be in Union cemetery, Saukville. The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall after the service. Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington is assisting the family.

Katherine C. Eichstedt

Mrs. Katherine Eichstedt “Katie” age 98 years of Sussex, formerly of Random Lake passed away December 17, 2002 at the Sterling House in Sussex where she had been a resident for the past year. She was born in Random Lake September 18, 1904 daughter of the late Valentine and Margaret Hoffmann Rach. She attended school in Random Lake at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and School. On June 27, 1927 she married Erwin Eichstedt at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Katie and Ike raised their children in both Random Lake and Port Washington. The couple started a jewelry store in Random Lake, and then later moved the business to Port Washington. They ran the store until 1958. Katie was an active participant and volunteer at St. Mary's church in Port Washington. Retirement years were peacefully spent in Tomahawk, Wisconsin where she enjoyed fishing alongside Ike, tending an extensive garden and a daily two mile walk. She was also an active member and volunteer at Sacred Heart Parish in Tomahawk.
Katie will be remembered by five children: Josette (Jack) Shannon, of Stevens Point, Carole (Wayne) Stroessner, of Random Lake, Renee (Les) Streff, of Brown Deer, Jim (Sally) Eichstedt of Hartland, and MaryKay Hoffmann of Wauwatosa, as well as 23 grandchildren, and 29 great-grandchildren. Katie is preceded in death by her husband, Erwin (Ike), one daughter, Maxine (Bill) Share and two sisters. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday December 20, 2002 2:30 PM at Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, St. Mary’s Chapel Random Lake, with Father Richard Cerpich officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Eernisse Funeral Home Port Washington is assisting the family.

Joseph Yovanovich

Joseph Yovanovich, age 76 years of 2593 Mink Ranch Road, Port Washington died Tuesday evening, December 17, 2002 at his residence. He was born March 11, 1926 in Ashland, WI son of Martin and Mary Jordan Yovanovich. He served with the US Army from 1952 – 1954 and married Beverly Rismeyer on May 7, 1955 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Port Washington. She preceded him in death in 1996. Mr. Yovanovich was a machinist for Simplicity Mfg. for 43 years. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Port Washington, the National Rifle Association, Saukville Rifle & Pistol Club and enjoyed being with his grandchildren and hunting and fishing in Ashland and Tomahawk where he had cottages. He is survived by 3 children Joseph Jr. (Teri) Yovanovich of Bear, DE, Jeffery (Janine) Yovanovich of Random Lake and Judy (Scott) Krueger of Saukville, 6 grandchildren Katie, Jennie, and Joey Yovanovich, Benjamin, Brad and Bryon Krueger, and 1 brother Martin (Rhea) Yovanovich of Port Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister and 1 grandson. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Dec. 22, 3 pm at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 403 W. Foster St, Port Washington with Rev. John Klieve officiating. Burial will be in Union cemetery, Port Washington. Visitation will be at the CHURCH Sunday from 1-3 pm. Memorials to St. John’s Academy appreciated. The Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.

Victor M. Anzia

Victor Anzia, age 95 years of 925 South Ave. Belgium died Sunday December 15, 2002 at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan where he had been a patient for the past 10 days. He was born September 21, 1907 in Lake Church, son of Michael and Catherine Lecher Anzia. On February 5, 1938 he married Adela Watry at St. Mary Catholic Church in Lake Church. Mr. Anzia worked as a rural mail carrier out of the Belgium Post Office for 38 years, retiring in 1973. He was a member of St. Mary Church in Lake Church, the Catholic Knights, Catholic Order of Foresters and enjoyed bowling and golfing. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Adela, 4 children Kathryn (Robert) Richison of Athelstane, WI Michael (Sandra) Anzia of West Bend, Barbara (Richard) Wright of Medford and Paul (Judy) Anzia of Belgium, 16 grandchildren 19 great-grandchildren, 1 sister Clara Watry of West Bend, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 4 sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday December 18, 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lake Church, preceded by family rites at 10 am at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 171 N. Royal Ave. Belgium. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-8 pm and on Wednesday from 9-10 am. A parish vigil will take place at 6 pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

Phyllis R. Perry

Mrs. Phyllis Perry, age 80 years of Port Richey, FL, formerly of Port Washington died Friday, December 19, 2003 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice in New Port Richey, FL where she had been a resident for the past several weeks. She was born June 4, 1923 in Menno, SD daughter of John and Renata Weigt Riemert. She married Oliver Perry on November 8, 1947 in Menno, SD. He preceded her in death in 1995. Mrs. Perry worked as an inspector at the West Bend Co., retiring in 1977. She was formerly a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Port Washington and was a member of EMBA. She enjoyed playing bingo and dancing. The love of her life was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include three daughters Ardith (Richard) Gantner of Port Washington, Gwen Perry of Grafton and Debra (Richard) Goerg of Brookfield, her fiancé Bill Davis of Port Richey, FL, 3 grandchildren Chris Gantner, Jeff Franzen and Kristina Goerg, , 3 great grandchildren, 1 brother “Butch” (Agnes) Riemert of Port Washington, 4 sisters Marilyn Reiss of Plymouth, Naomi (Gerald) Paulson and Maxine (“Bud”) Heinen both of Port Washington and Cornelia (Thomas) Kauth of Campbellsport. She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will held on Saturday, December 27, 2 PM at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 403 W. Foster St., Port Washington with Rev. John Klieve officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s cemetery, Port Washington. Visitation will be held at the CHURCH Saturday from 12 noon until time of services. Memorials to Hernando-Pasco Hospice appreciated. The Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington is assisting the family with arrangements..

SUZANNE M. DYSERT

Suzanne Dysert, age 56 years, of Jessie Lane in Random Lake, died at her residence Monday morning, December 22, 2003, after a long battle with cancer. She was born July 28, 1947 in Belvidere, IL, daughter of Clarence and Coletta Bichler Schmitt. She graduated from Random Lake High School in 1965 and worked briefly for Tecumseh Power Products in Grafton. On October 11, 1969 she was united in marriage with Lyle M. Dysert Jr. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Port Washington. Mrs. Dysert was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Sherman Center. Suzanne was known for her artistic abilities, including sewing, knitting and crafts, especially her hand sewn mink teddy bears. She enjoyed considerable domestic and international travel. She is survived by her husband, Lyle M. Dysert, Jr., of Random Lake, 1 son, Dreher of Campbellsport, 2 daughters, Stephanie (fiancé Chris Hopf) and Alyssa, both of Random Lake, her mother, Coletta Schmitt of Random Lake, 3 brothers: John (Teri Sacker) Schmitt of Browntown, James (Lynda) Schmitt of Random Lake, Andrew (Val) Schmitt of Adell, 3 sisters: Ruth (Mark) Seider of Mequon, Rita (Hank) Beeman of Virginia Beach, VA, and Rose (Wayne) VanderVelden of Belgium. She is further survived by her parents-in-law, Lyle and Jane Dysert of Port Washington, 1 sister-in-law, Karen Robertson of Port Washington, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Clarence Schmitt. Funeral Services for Suzanne will be held Friday, December 26, 2003 7PM at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Sherman Center, W5406 Hwy SS, Random Lake. Rev. Greg Laska will officiate. Interment will follow the next day in the Church cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the church Friday, from 4-7PM. Memorials are suggested to the St. John’s Lutheran Church or the American Lung Association. The Eernisse Funeral Home, Belgium, is assisting the family.

MYRON C. MUCKERHEIDE

Mr. Myron “Mike” Muckerheide, age 73 years, of Noridge Trail in Port Washington, passed away Monday morning, December 22, 2003, after a long battle with cancer. Mike was born April 30, 1930, in Wausau, son of Clarence Z. and Esther Wohlfahrt Muckerheide. He served in the US Navy as a Medic during the Korean War, receiving a Purple Heart. On May 21, 1955 he was united in marriage with Patricia Kohls in Cologne, MN. She preceded him in death in 2001. He was a member of the Waubeka VFW, enjoyed spending time with his three granddaughters, spending time by Lake Michigan and his work. Mr. Muckerheide was a pioneer in Laser Technology, in both the medical and defense fields. He worked for the NASA Space Program as a Payload Manager, and was responsible for both SEM and GAS Payload experiments. He was a published author, has exhibits in the Smithsonian Institution and Mitchell Field Museum, as well as holding 7 US Patents. Mike was an Instructor at Milwaukee Area Tech. College and North Central Tech. Institute in Wausau where he taught classes in the field of Laser Technology. A book discussing his previous undercover work with the FBI is due to be published this coming spring. Mr. Muckerheide is survived by his daughter, Susan (Michael) Schreiner of Cedarburg, three granddaughters, Siena, Adyson, and Elysa Schreiner, also of Cedarburg, 1 sister, Carol (William) Barwick, of Weston, WI, and 1 aunt, Harriet (James) Jordan of Minocqua. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, 1 brother, Clarence, and 1 sister, Mary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 7PM at St. Francis Borgia, South, 6055 W. Hamilton Rd. Cedarburg. Father Al Veik will officiate. Interment will be in St. Mary’s cemetery, Port Washington, next to his wife. The family will receive visitors Friday at the church from 4-7 PM.

LOU KRUPP

Lou Krupp, age 76 years of Holy Cross, Town of Belgium died Sunday, December 21, 2003 at his residence after battling multiple myeloma for eleven years and complications of diabetes. He was born December 10, 1927 in Holy Cross, son of the late William and Mary Ann Watry Krupp. He served in the US Army during WW II and married Agatha Rausch on June 24, 1950 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Saukville. Lou worked for Bolens Corp. in Port Washington for 45 years. He was a member of Holy Rosary Parish, and Belgium American Legion Post 412. He enjoyed gardening, auctioneering, helping out at church and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. He is survived by his wife Agatha, children Michael (Jennie) Krupp of Port Washington, Joanne (Ron) Bolz of Port Washington, Kathy (Bruce) Otte of Plymouth, Linda Lee (Gordie) Bartlett of West Bend, Judy (Mike) Krier of Belgium and Mark (Paula) Krupp of Racine, 15 grandchildren, 1 sister Shirley (Arnold) Prom of Grafton, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday evening, Dec. 23, 7:30 PM at Holy Rosary Parish, Holy Cross Chapel, Hwy. B, Town of Belgium. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 171 N. Royal Ave., Belgium Tuesday from 3:30 to 7 PM. Memorials to Max McGee Juvenile Diabetes Foundation or Multiple Myeloma Foundation appreciated. Special thanks to Dr. Torkelson, Gail Maynard, and the staff at the oncology department at St. Mary’s Hospital Ozaukee.
