PAUL R. FITEZ
ELKINS, W.Va. - Paul R. Fitez, a former resident of Hagerstown, Md., and more recently a resident of Canaan and Elkins, died Nov. 15, 1998, in Elkins.
He was born Jan. 27, 1917, a son of the late Marshall and Millie Fitez.
He was married
to the former Pauline Halterman who survives in Elkins. Also surviving are one son, Paul R. Fitez Jr.; and one granddaughter, Nancy S. Fitez, both of Dayton, Ohio.
Mr. Fitez was cremated. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 22, 1999, at the Olivet cemetery at Moorefield. The Rev. Paul Poersche will officiate and interment will follow.
Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements.
BEULAH B. DETRICK
PIEDMONT, W.Va. - Beulah B. Detrick, 86, formerly of 51 Jones St., Piedmont, died Thursday, Jan. 21, 1999, at the Valley View Nursing Home, Berkeley Springs, where she had been a resident.
Born Aug. 2, 1912, in Augusta, she was a daughter of the late John and Emma V. (Pownell) McDonald. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Detrick, in 1980.
Mrs. Detrick was a homemaker. She was a member of the Westernport Church of the Brethren.
She is survived by a son, Paul Detrick, Piedmont; and two sisters, Nellie Bonner, Goodwill Mennonite Nursing Home, Grantsville, Md., and Goldie Housley, Marbury, Ala.
Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted there on Saturday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Ervin Huston.
VIOLET E. DEVELBISS
WILEY FORD, W.Va. - Violet Elmyra DeVelbiss, 79, formerly of Wiley Ford, died on Thursday, Aug. 12, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born on Nov. 26, 1919, in Luke, Md., she was the daughter of the late Harry B. Ellifritz and the late Hazel (Tasker) Ellifritz. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry Ellifritz Jr. and George Ellifritz; a half brother; a half sister; and two grandchildren.
Mrs. DeVelbiss was a homemaker and a retired clerk for Prince William County, Va. She attended the Wiley Ford Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are her husband, Curtis Vance DeVelbiss; two daughters, Joan Witt and husband Donald, Mount Savage, and Patricia Cochran, Galion, Ohio; two sons, Curtis DeVelbiss Jr. and wife Norma, Winchester, Va., and Charles E. DeVelbiss, Augusta, W.Va.; a stepmother, Edna Ellifritz, Keyser, W.Va.; seven half sisters; four half brothers; two sisters-in-law, Eula Ellifritz, Frostburg, and Norma Ellifritz, New Creek, W.Va.; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a special grandson-in-law, Byron Seekamp.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A graveside service will be held at the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser, on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Benny R. Brakeall officiating.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
RAYMOND C. FOSTER
PICKAWAY, W.Va. - Raymond Coleman Foster, 58, of Pickaway, died Saturday, May 8, 1999, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke, Va.
Born Aug. 31, 1940, in Peterstown, W.Va., he was the son of the late Paul Foster and the late Bessie (Lephew) Foster.
Mr. Foster was a construction worker. He attended Hillsdale Holiness Church in Pickaway.
Surviving are his wife, Brenda (Morris) Foster, Pickaway; six sons, Raymond Foster Jr. and wife, Robin, St. Leonard, Md., Vincent Foster, Huntingtown, Md., Preston Foster, Huntingtown, Steve Foster and wife, Lisa, Port Republic, Md., Jason Foster, Chesapeake Beach, Md., and Frankie Foster and wife, Janice, John's Island, S.C.; a daughter, Miss Nicky Foster, Chesapeake Beach; a stepson, Francis Self Jr. and wife, Becky, Fort Ashby; three stepdaughters, Shari Heath and husband, Wiley, Paw Paw, Tina Stott and husband, Larry, Ridgeley, and Karen Emerick and husband, Randy, Slainesville; two brothers, Louis Foster, North Beach, Md., and Danny Foster and wife, Carolyn, Hinton; a sister, Dana Blankenship, Bland, Va.; and 15 grandchildren.

ELLIS M. "JUNIOR" DOLL
NEW CREEK, W.Va. - Ellis M. "Junior" Doll, 73, of HC 75, Box 145-B, New Creek, died Monday, May 24, 1999, at the Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md.
Born on Nov. 15, 1925, at Keyser, he was a son of the late Ellis M. Doll Sr. and the late Nellie J. (Leatherman) Doll.
Mr. Doll was the retired owner and operator of Doll's Snack Bar in New Creek. He also was the former owner of Keyprint and Proprint Printing Companies in Keyser and the Country Cable Company, which provided cable television service to the Claysville and Antioch areas.
Mr. Doll was a member of the Knobley Church of the Brethren, the Men's Fellowship of the church, and the Mineral County Right to Life.
Surviving are his wife, Linda A. (Ellifritz) Doll; and three sons, Melvin Doll, Charles Doll and James Doll, all at home.
Friends may call at the Rotruck-Smith Funeral Home, Keyser, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Knobley Church of the Brethren on Friday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Roger Leatherman officiating. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to services.

RICHARD E. DOWDY JR.
PETERSBURG, W.Va. - Richard E. Dowdy Jr., 51, of Petersburg died Friday, Aug. 27, 1999 at the Grant County Nursing Home.
Born Aug. 9, 1948 in Baltimore, he was the son of Richard E. Dowdy Sr., of Petersburg and the late Anna Marjorie Dowdy. Besides his father, he is survived by two brothers, William David and Brian Charles Dowdy, of Baltimore; one sister, Nancy Dowdy Sisk; nephews, Grant and Morgan Sisk; niece, Shana Faith Sisk, all of Petersburg, and cousins, Dale and Denise Kittle, of Baltimore.
Mr. Dowdy graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1966, Catonsville Community College in 1969 and Loyola College of Maryland in 1971. After receiving a degree in Medical Technology, he was employed by the Greater Baltimore Medical Center and later, St. Joseph's Medical Center in Maryland.
Friends will be received at the Schaeffer Funeral Home, Petersburg Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. Services will be conducted there Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Richard L. Longbon officiating. Interment will be in Lahmansville cemetery, Lahmansville.

ZIHLMAN - Clayton G. Griffith, 60, formerly of Zihlman, died Wednesday, June 16, 1999, in Portsmouth, Va., where he resided.
Surviving are his wife, Edwina Griffith; two daughters, Erin Griffith-Mosley and husband Brian, Chesapeake, Va., and Cassie Chasey and husband Scott, Portsmouth; three sisters, Verna Davis, Portsmouth, Nancy Grant, Maryland, and Janie Cumiskey, Illinois; three brothers, George Griffith, Frostburg, Joe Griffith, Portsmouth, and Blaine Griffith, California; and numerous nieces and nephews.

GERALDINE E. DULING
ROMNEY, W.Va. - Geraldine Elizabeth Duling, 78, of Romney, died Saturday, April 24, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital Hospice Unit.
She was born Aug. 14, 1920, in Burlington, W.Va., and was the daughter of the late Garner McDonald Sr. and Stella Dawson McDonald.
Mrs. Duling was a retired housekeeper for the late State Senator Bill Oates and Carl D. Stickley. She was a member of the Beaver Run Church of the Brethren, and AARP.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Preston Duling; three brothers; and five sisters.
Surviving are one son, James Allen Duling Sr., Romney; three daughters, Shirley A. Kirby, Chesterfield, Va., Rebecca E. Duling, Limavady, Northern Ireland, and Judy K. Clower-Nazelrod, Romney; two brothers, Garner ``Dick" McDonald Jr., Burlington, John C. McDonald, Bedford, Pa.; three sisters, Alma Liller, Burlington, Margaret Dean, Camp Springs, Md., and Clara Walker, Richmond, Va.; eight grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nine step-great-grandchildren.
Friends and family will be received at the Baldwin Funeral Home, Romney, Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted in the Funeral Home Chapel, Tuesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Preston J. Miller officiating.
