FORT ASHBY, W.Va. - Lillian Julia "Debbie" Long, 75, of 2219 Maple Road, Baltimore, died Jan. 17, 1998, in Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.
Born Jan. 22, 1922, in Johnstown, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Charles J. Neral and Emma (Amman) Neral.
She also was preceded in death by her husband, Hayes L. Long, on April 15, 1995; and a sister, Florence Adams, Jan. 9, 1995.
Mrs. Long was a business instructor at ITT Business School in Baltimore.
She was a member of St. Luke's Catholic Church in Edgemere, the Women of the Moose, Edgemere, and the Fairlane Senior League, Eastpoint.
She is survived by a son, Douglas Long, and wife, Susan, Fort Ashby, W.Va., with whom she was residing; a grandson, Daniel Long, Fort Ashby; five brothers, Edward Neral, Johnstown, Charles Neral, Willow Grove, Pa., James Neral, Thomas Neral, and W. Noel Neral, all of Point Pleasant, N.J.; a sister, Gertrude Bremmer, Point Pleasant; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at the Church of The Annunciation, Fort Ashby, on Monday at 7 p.m. with the Rev. James J. Chetock, celebrant.
Her cremated remains will be interred at Fort Ashby cemetery at a later date.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Church of The Annunciation, Fort Ashby.
THELMA MAE LONG
CUMBERLAND - Thelma Mae Long, 95, of the Cumberland Nursing Home, formerly of Arch Street, died Tuesday, Sept. 1, 1998, at the nursing home.
Born Oct. 31, 1902, in Magnolia, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late John P. and Minnie (Hare) Ryan.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter P. Long; and two brothers.
Mrs. Long was a homemaker. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, and was pianist at the church for over 60 years.
Surviving are two sons, Paul D. Long, and wife, Helen, and Robert W. Long, all of Cumberland; two brothers, Eugene Ryan and Granville Ryan, both of Hagerstown; and two grandsons, Brian and Neil Long.
Friends will be received at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Max Greenfield and the Rev. Wayne Turner officiating.
Pallbearers will be Harry Wharton, Wayne Wharton, Gene Summers, Don Pullin, John Murphy Sr. and Pat Murphy.
EUGENE DALTON LOY
CANTON, Ohio - Eugene Dalton Loy, 74, of Canton, died Feb. 18, 1998, at the Aultman Hospital, Canton.
Born Nov. 27, 1923, in Three Churches, W.Va., he was the son of the late Harry D. and Lillian (Pultz) Loy.
Mr. Loy worked as a tractor-trailer driver for over 40 years.
He was a member and Past Master of Charity Lodge #530, A.F. & A.M.; a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Bodies; Chapter #83, R.A.M.; and Past Commander, Palmyra #67, Knights Templar; Tadmor Temple, A.A.N.O.M.S.; Chapter #114, O.E.S.; Knights of Ireland; and Aerie #245, F.O.E.
He is survived by his wife, Darleen, Canton; two daughters, Diane Gibbner and husband, Ron, Hyndman, Pa., and Eugenia Loy, Akron, Ohio; two sons, Emmett D. Loy and wife, Candy, Hagerstown, MD, and William Glen Loy and wife, Debbie, Linwood, Pa.; three step-daughters, Arleen Townsend, Cathleen Halpin, and Starleen Keiner, all of Canton; two brothers, Donald A. Loy and wife, Judy, Charleston, W.Va., and Lowell W. Loy, Ridgeley, W.Va.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
GEORGIA M. "MO MO" LUDWICK
KEYSER, W.Va. - Georgia M. "Mo Mo" Ludwick, 97, formerly of 1320 Lynmar St., Keyser, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 1998, at the Heartland of Keyser Nursing Home, Keyser.
Born Jan. 23, 1900, at Clarksburg, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Bruce T. and Emma Esta (Morrison) Southern.
She also was preceded in death by her husband, C. Arnold Ludwick, Sr., on April 13, 1976; three brothers, Frank Southern, Carl Southern and Fleming Southern; three sisters, Ruth Allen, Helen V. Southern and Mary K. Cutlip; one grandson, C.A. Ludwick III.
Mrs. Ludwick was a member of the Keyser Church of the Brethren.
She was a lifetime Deaconess, former organist of the church, and a member of the Ladies Aid Society, and was honored as Star Mother in 1963.
She was a member of the Keyser Women's Club for over 50 years.
She is survived by one son, Cline A. "A.J." Ludwick, Jr., Moorefield, W.Va.; one daughter, Anna Mae Taylor, Myrtle Beach, S.C.; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Smith Funeral Home, Keyser, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Joyce E. Petry officiating.
Interment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
CECIL IVAN LUSK
AUGUSTA, W.Va. - Cecil Ivan Lusk, 73, of HC-71, Box 186AA, Augusta, died Monday, Nov. 16, 1998, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 27, 1925, in McComas, a son of the late Roy E. Lusk and Alma Mullin Lusk.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Estie Laurette Richman, on Oct. 12, 1988; and by one brother.
Mr. Lusk was retired as a supervisor and crane operator for Bethlehem Steel.
Surviving are one step-daughter, Patricia Sapp, Baltimore, Md.; two sisters, Cathalene Parsell, Princeton, Ruth Krondon, Rock; and six step-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held in the McKee Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 1998, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. James Hawkins officiating.
ROMNEY, W.Va. - Ruby Adelia Lymburner, 91, of Romney, died Saturday, April 25, 1998, at her residence.
She was born April 3, 1907, in Upsala, Minn., the daughter of the late Carl Gustaf and Mathilda (Friberg) Nilson.
She also was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Charles Robert Lymburner in 1980.
Mrs. Lymburner taught in rural schools in northern Minnesota in her early life.
She retired after 20 years as a minister with Assembly of God churches in Keyser, Franklin and Romney.
She was a member of the Romney Assembly of God Church.
Surviving are three sons, Robert Donald Lymburner, Nashville, Tenn., Francis Carl Lymburner, Dayton, Ohio, Charles J.N. Lymburner, Buffalo, N.Y.; one daughter, Mrs. Barbara M. Waldee, Fort Myers, Fla.; two sisters, Blanche N. Helms, Fort Myers, Rhoda O'Donnel, California; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by a special friend and caregiver, Mary Beatty, Romney.
Friends will be received at the Shaffer Funeral Home, Romney, on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the Romney Assembly of God Church on Tuesday, April 28, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Fred L. Tomlinson officiating.
