Charles W. Barrett

HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Charles W. Barrett, 92, of Hedgesville, died Wednesday, April 5, 2000, at Valley View Nursing Home in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.

Born Sept. 26, 1907, in Bedington, W.Va., he was the son of the late Charles and Susie Barrett.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lydia Snyder Barrett.

He was a self-employed contractor.

He was a member of Allensville Church of the Brethren.

He is survived by three nieces, Hilda Kettering and Barbara Jones, both of Hedgesville, and Agnes Roderick of Portland, Maine.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Barrett and Bill Barrett.

Services will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St. in Martinsburg. The Rev. Charles W. Green will officiate. Burial will be in Hedgesville cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to Allensville Church of the Brethren, c/o Twila French, 220 Rolling Hills Drive, Hedgesville, WV 25427.

Juanita McRorie

AURORA, Ill. - A memorial graveside service for Juanita McRorie, 91, of Aurora, and formerly of Martinsburg, W.Va., will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Salem Church cemetery in Slanesville, W.Va.

Born May 21, 1908, in Higginsville, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Ida Miller.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James McRorie.

She was the last of her immediate family.

Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg.

Donald R. Lindsay

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Donald Russler Lindsay, 88, of Martinsburg, died Friday, April 7, 2000, at City Hospital in Martinsburg.

Born March 29, 1912, in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late A. Radar and Nan Russler Lindsay.

He was a 1930 graduate of Martinsburg High School, where he was active in sports.

He was employed by Potomac Edison Co. for 46 years in the survey and engineering division.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Previously, he was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, where he was a Sunday School teacher and board member.

He was a member of Potomac Edison Forerunners.

He donated many hours of his time to Martinsburg High School athletes and events. He served as official timer in football and basketball for 43 years.

He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Miller Lindsay; a daughter, Susanne Lindsay Newbraugh of Martinsburg; a granddaughter, Lindsay Marie Newbraugh of Martinsburg; two nieces; great-nieces; and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas R. Lindsay, and two nieces.

Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St. in Martinsburg. The Revs. Howard I. Ratcliffe and James D. Riley Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to Martinsburg High School Athletic Department, c/o Martinsburg High School, 701 S. Queen St., Martinsburg, WV 25401.

Julian T. King

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Julian T. King, 83, of Martinsburg, died Thursday, April 6, 2000, at Smal's Senior Care Center in Ranson, W.Va.

Born April 3, 1917, in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late James Earl and Estie Virginia Beard King.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Horner King.

He was a retired rural mail carrier and owner and operator of the former King's Amoco Station.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.

He was a member of Arden United Methodist Church.

He is survived by two sons, John R. King of Woodbine, Md., and Stephen T. King of Martinsburg; three sisters, Ann Kackley of Quincy, Pa., Virginia Clipp of Morton, Pa., and Louise Roudabush of Wilmington, N.C.; four grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, James Earl King Jr.

Services will be Sunday at 1:15 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St. in Martinsburg. The Rev. Walter F. Bowers will officiate. Burial will be in Arden United Methodist Church cemetery.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Charles B. Bull

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Charles B. Bull, 84, of Berkeley Springs, died Saturday, April 8, 2000, at Washington County Hospital.

Born Sept. 8, 1915, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Charles and Sarah E. Foreman Bull.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Nelson Bull, in 1985.

He retired from Penn Central Railroad in Baltimore. He was employed by Seely Pine Furniture in Berkeley Springs.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Berkeley Springs.

He was a member of Eastern Panhandle Shrine Club; Landmark Masonic Lodge 127 AF&AM of Baltimore; 32 degree Scottish Rite of Wheeling, W.Va.; and Ali Ghan Shrine of Cumberland, Md.

He is survived by a sister, Virginia M. MacNeal of Baltimore; and a brother, Harry C. Bull Sr. of Littleton, Colo.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Wilson Bull.

Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Hunter-Anderson Funeral Home, 106 S. Mercer St. in Berkeley Springs. The Rev. Owen Womack will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant cemetery in Berkeley Springs, with Masonic graveside services.

Visitation will be today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
