MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Viola B. Mason, 92, of Martinsburg, died Monday, Jan. 25, 1999, at Heartland of Martinsburg.
Born Dec. 10, 1906, in Downsville, she was the daughter of the late Daniel E. and Effie Belle Shank Bowers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Taylor Mason.
She had operated Mason Nursing Home, Martinsburg.
She was a lifelong member of Bethel Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Betty Lee Benner and Faith Marie Benner, both of Martinsburg; one sister, Dorothy Furley of Martinsburg; one brother, Marvin T. Bowers of Shepherdstown, W.Va.; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Claude W. Mason and Wayne T. Mason; one stepson, Albert Mason; and five brothers, Allen Bowers, Charles Bowers, Edgar Bowers, William Bowers, and Elmer Bowers.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. The Rev. Arnold Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Harmony cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Betty L. Angle
INWOOD, W.Va. - Betty L. May Angle, 72, of Inwood, died Monday, Jan. 25, 1999, at her home.
Born March 24, 1926, in Vanville, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late James Robert and Ethel Irene Prather May.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman J. Angle Jr.
She was a member of Vanville Church of Christ.
She is survived by a daughter, Sharon L. Fowler of Hedgesville, W.Va.; two sons, Norman J. Angle III of Inwood and Preston Guessford of Hagerstown; two sisters, Charlotte Louise McDonald of Iowa and Esther Isabelle Myers of Martinsburg, W.Va.; three brothers, Carlton Judd May of Vanville, Max Linden May and James Allen May, both of Martinsburg; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Catherine V. Rice; and three brothers, Robert N. May, Filmore E. May and James R. May Jr.
Services will be Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. Thomas J. Huff will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Bernice Hale Savasten, 91, of Berkeley Springs, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 1999, at Eden Enterprise Care Home, Berkeley Springs.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Saint Thomas Episcopal Church, Hancock. The Rev. Allan Weatherholt will officiate. Burial will be in Youngstown, Ohio.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Hunter-Anderson Funeral Home, 106, S. Mercer St., Berkeley Springs.

KEARNEYSVILLE, W.Va. - Ruth Lorain Parker, 69, of Kearneysville, died Sunday, Jan. 24, 1999, at City Hospital.
Born Oct. 15, 1929, in Jefferson County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Charles and Helen Pease Parker.
She is survived by one son, David Parker of Washington, D.C.; two sisters, Helen Jones of Chicago, and Esther H. Johnson of Inwood, W.Va.; two brothers, Charles Parker of Philadelphia, and Jacob Parker of Martinsburg, W.Va.; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Howard Marvin Parker; one sister, Mary Ellen Carter; and two brothers, James Parker and Joseph Parker.
Memorial services will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. The Rev. Alfred E. Statesman will officiate. Burial will be private.
Michael S. Cyhanick
INWOOD, W.Va. - Michael S. Cyhanick, 37, of Inwood, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 1999, at his home.
He was a self-employed automobile mechanic.
He attended St. Joseph Catholic School and Martinsburg High School, Martinsburg.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
He is survived by a close friend, Elizabeth Blanco, and his family and second family.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Youngstown, Ohio.
She was a member of Order of Eastern Star, Youngstown.
She is survived by one daughter, Ruth Anne Weiler of Killdeer, Ill.; one son, David H. Savasten of Berkeley Springs; one niece and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
