INWOOD, W.Va. - William P. Williams, 77, of Inwood, died Wednesday, April 7, 1999, at Care Haven of Berkeley.
Born Sept. 7, 1921, in Madison, N.C., he was the son of the late John L. and Hattie Shreves Williams.
He was a retired bus driver for Continental Trailways.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He was a member of Shenandoah Bible Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Baker Williams; a daughter, Elaine Shamel of Raleigh, N.C.; three sons, John R. Williams of Hedgesville, W.Va., Sterling C. Williams of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Gregg Williams of Salinas, Calif.; a sister, Elsie Shelton of Salisbury, N.C.; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Sterling Williams.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. James Bishop will officiate. Entombment will be in Maranatha Memorial Gardens with military services by Newton D. Baker Post 896, VFW and Berkeley Post 14 American Legion.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Shirley M. Farland
HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Shirley M. Farland, 68, of Hedgesville, died Tuesday, April 6, 1999, at her home.
Born Oct. 23, 1930, in Iron Mountain, Mich., she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Ida Carlson Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred A. Farland.
She is survived by three daughters, Leslie Kallenbach of Racine, Wis., Pamela Farland of Philadelphia and Julie Ready of Randallstown, Md.; two sons, Michael Farland of Alameda, Calif., and Scott Farland of Reisterstown, Md.; two sisters, Muriel Murphy of Sleepy Hollow, W.Va., and Kay Johnson of Crescent City, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Stuart Farland; and two brothers, Orville Anderson and Rutherford Anderson.
The family will hold an open house today from 5 to 7 p.m. at her home.

Dora E. Walters
BUNKER HILL, W.Va. - Dora Ellen Walters, 85, of Bunker Hill, died Wednesday, April 7, 1999, at City Hospital in Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born Dec. 16, 1913, in Charles Town, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late John and Lillian Levi Lanham.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Walters.
She was a member of Cedar Grove Christian Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Betty L. Patrick of Bunker Hill; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.
Graveside services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Green Hill cemetery, Berryville, Va.
Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg.
Anna C. Collins
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Anna Cornelia Collins, 83, of Martinsburg, died Tuesday, April 6, 1999, at City Hospital.
Born Nov. 18, 1915, in Siler, Va., she was the daughter of the late George and Edna DeHaven Whitacre.
She was preceded in death by her husband, E. Woodrow Collins.
She retired from the nursing profession at City Hospital at the age of 78.
She was a member of Little Falls Presbyterian Church.
She was a member of UCT Auxiliary.
She is survived by two daughters, Judy L. Collins of Martinsburg and Norma L. Gerbozy of Alexandria, Va.; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Collins Porterfield; three sisters, Bessie Graham, Georgia Russell and Olive Whitacre; and two brothers, Bruce Whitacre and Clifford Whitacre.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. John E. Wright will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.

Georgia A. Baker
CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Georgia Anna Baker, 95, of Charles Town, died Tuesday, April 6, 1999, at Shenandoah Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Charles Town.
Born June 22, 1903, in Charles Town, she was the daughter of the late Laura Covert.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard D. Baker, in 1997.
She retired as a seamstress from a sewing factory in Baltimore and Lor-Lynn Garment Factory in Ranson, W.Va.
She was a Christian.
She is survived by three grandchildren, Bruce Zombro, James Zombro and Debra Hildebrand; six great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, James Coleman Zombro, in 1988; two sisters, Mamie Covert and Delphia Covert; and a brother, Charles Covert.
Services will be Friday at 3 p.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town. Steve Marshall and Mark Peters will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens cemetery, Martinsburg, W.Va.
Visitation will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Vivian S. Jett
KEARNEYSVILLE, W.Va. - Vivian Serena Curry Jett, 46, of Kearneysville, died Sunday, April 4, 1999, at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.
Born July 22, 1952, in Jefferson County, W.Va., she was the daughter of James Curry of Charles Town, W.Va., and the late Thelma Elizabeth Campbell Cook.
She worked for Grafton School in Berryville, Va.
She was a member of the U.S. Army Reserves.
She was a member of John Wesley Church.
In addition to her father, she is survived by two sons, James S. Jett of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Louis A. Jett of Kearneysville; a sister, Nadine V. Thomas of Winchester; two brothers, Timothy Campbell of Manassas, Va., and Donald Curry of Winchester; five grandchildren; and her companion, Lester Edwards.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at House of Prayer Church in Charles Town. Pastor Al Ford will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery, Martinsburg, W.Va.
